Reliable Concrete Moisture Testing Expertise

Choosing a certified professional for concrete slab moisture testing is essential to ensuring accuracy, compliance, and confidence in the results. As an ICRI Certified Concrete Slab Moisture Testing Technician with years of experience, C+C Inspection Services meets the growing industry demand for specialists who adhere to project and manufacturer specifications. With a thorough understanding of slab moisture tests and how to interpret the results, critical data is provided for both flooring pre-installation decisions and post-failure forensic investigations. Proper moisture testing helps prevent costly flooring failures and supports the long-term success of every project.

C+C Inspection Services makes its main focus of testing using the ASTM F2170 Relative Humidity Standard, which is the industry standard for measuring the moisture content of concrete slabs. Using in-situ probes, we drill holes into concrete slabs and insert probes to accurately measure relative humidity (RH) levels. This process provides valuable insights into the moisture conditions of the slab and helps predict how the slab will behave once covered, preventing issues like warping, buckling, or mold growth.

By following the ASTM F2170 standard meticulously, we ensure precise results that are crucial for contractors, floor covering installers, and restoration specialists in determining if a concrete slab is ready for sealing or floor covering application. With calibrated, reusable ASTM F2170 Relative Humidity Moisture Meter Probes, we provide industry-compliant testing that ensures successful flooring installations and long-term durability.

For large projects that are not up to standard conditions due to the construction schedule, some construction teams elect to test outside of the these standards.  If all parties agree to have less test locations done to see where the project is at that time, we can work with you.  We do suggest that more tests are done further down the schedule as the building is close to finished.  Once the project reaches Normal Room Conditions or NRC with doors, windows and HVAC working, then the testing can be done by the standard.  This allows the project team to see if certain floors or areas may be of concern and require extra attention.  Non-invasive testing and ASTM1869 calcium chloride testing is offered as well.

For precise, efficient, and reliable concrete moisture testing, C+C Inspection Services offers the expertise, experience, and equipment necessary to get the job done right every time.
